A 3 year-old is being treated in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after a canister of foam soap exploded and burned him while in the bath.
It's believed the boy was taken to Altnagelvin in Derry/Londonderry on Wednesday night and was then transferred to Belfast Royal.
The soap he was using is a brand from Nickeolodeon's programme Paw Patrol, intended for the use of a child.
His aunt took to social media at the time of the incident to make others aware of what happened:
Q Radio spoke to SDLP councillor Brian Tierney who was also alerted by the toddler's aunt.
While he was unsure of the extent of his injuries, councillor Tierney said he assumed "it was serious" and "extremely worrying for his family" due to his transfer between hospitals.
He is also making an appeal to other parents and those who may buy products similar.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this present time and I would also appeal to people to be careful about what it is they're actually using in the bath and how they're using it.
"We don't want to see a repeat performance of what has just happened."
The Belfast Trust has also been contacted about the condition of the child, but a response has yet to be given.
