Police in Craigavon have branded drinking and driving as "stupid, selfish and dangerous", as four people were detected to be over the legal drink drive, while behind the wheel at the weekend.
A spokesperson for the PSNI in Craigavon said they thought the recent bout of snow would have kept those who are a "danger behind the wheel, safely tucked up at home", however this didn't seem to be the case.
The spokesperson went on:
"Over the weekend alone, 4 people were detected drink driving in Banbridge and Craigavon.
"Thankfully, it didn't kill anyone this time but one of those was involved in a crash.
"A couple of them were on that border line by the time they got to custody and have opted for a blood test. We await those results.
"If convicted, it's bye bye license. Thankfully, it's only court dates we have to prepare for, and not funerals.
"Drinking and driving is stupid, selfish and dangerous at the best times.
"In that weather...it defies belief. That's OK though, the judge will definitely believe it when presented with evidence."
