Detectives in Belfast have charged a 52-year-old man with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
The charges relate to an incident in the Eglantine Place area of the city on Friday morning.
Police say as is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
