Gardaí have launched an investigation after a digger was used to rip an ATM machine from a wall in County Monaghan.
It happened at the AIB bank on Main Street, Castleblaney at around 3am.
The machine was loaded onto a trailer and towed away using a dark coloured Jeep which made off towards Co.Armagh.
A number of roads through Castleblaney town centre are expected to remain closed until around midday as Gardaí continue to investigate.
Several ATM machines have been stolen from businesses in Northern Ireland using similar tactics in recent months.
The most recent was in Ahoghill in Co.Antrim on Monday morning.
