A grandmother stuck in hospital for almost three months because of a chronic shortage of community carers has finally returned home.
Elizabeth Canavan from Ballinderry suffers from Motor Neurone Disease.
She was on a ward despite not needing inpatient treatment for over eight weeks.
The 59-year-old has now been able to return to her family with a home care package.
That’s after the case was highlighted by the Press Association.
