Ballymena Electoral Office permanently closed to the public from today.
Its functions have now been transferred to Newtownabbey Electoral Office.
However four regional Northern Ireland offices will stay open until the end of the consultation.
The initial reason for Ballymena Electoral Office's closure before the consultation has concluded is the running out of the building's lease.
And it's fate was sealed after Mid and East Antrim Council's offer to host it rent-free on Council property was rejected.
