Bench warrant mug shots to be posted on Facebook

Suspects who've failed to appear in court will have their mug shots posted on social media from today.

It's the first time police will use custody photos to locate court no-shows.

Officers have urged suspects to hand themselves in before their faces are posted and shared.

Lurgan-based Chief Inspector Jon Burrows says it's unacceptable that those charged with crimes don't turn up at court.
