More than 700 people took to Newry streets on Saturday calling for an Irish Language Act.
That's from An Dream Dearg who organised the demonstration outside the town hall.
Spokesperson Padraig O Tiarnaigh said, "It is important for the Irish language community to be as vocal as possible."
He added, "Our rights cannot be held hostage to 'political consensus'."
