Disgraced councillor Patrick Clarke has withdrawn his resignation.
The independent Slieve Croob councillor had said he's stepping down for medical reasons.
He's since written to the chief executive of Newry, Mourne and Down council, of his intention to carry on.
Clarke's been convicted of defrauding two community groups and of sexual harassment.
He's serving a suspended prison sentence.
The forty-two year old will also face sanctions for breaching the council's code of conduct.
An adjudication hearing will take place tomorrow (Thursday, October 20th).
