Saturday, September 10 was World Suicide Prevention Day – its purpose is to raise awareness around the globe.

Deirdre lost her son Conor unexpectedly.
She says it was an unreal experience – as if she was living in a dream. The emotional impact that this has on families is life changing.
Despite having the support of the family, she was still in turmoil.
In desperation, Deirdre sought help from the Niamh Louise Foundation in Dungannon. It provides support and friendship not only for those bereaved, but for those who need to talk about their feelings.
