Arlene Foster has told us the DUP has been clear with the UK Government on Irish border solutions post-Brexit.
It follows reports powers like agriculture and energy could be devolved to Northern Ireland and brought into line with EU rules.
In an interview with Q Radio, the Democratic Unionist leader has said it would not work for Stormont to have different regulations on trade to the rest of the United Kingdom.
Ms Foster said: "The single market that matters most to businesses in the Northern Ireland is the single market of the United Kingdom and that has been made very clear to me from businesses right across Northern Ireland there can be no barriers between Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom".
