An information event on how to detect counterfeit currency will be held next week.
It takes place on Tuesday, April 11 at 2pm in the council offices in Magherafelt.
It’s been arranged in response to the increase of counterfeit currency being circulated across Mid-Ulster.
Incidents have also occurred in Fermanagh and Omagh.
It’s been organised by the Policing and Community Safety Partnership and the local Crime Prevention Officer.
A representative from the Ulster Bank will give advice and training on how to spot fake notes.
Shops and businesses are encouraged to attend.
