Five people have been arrested following a number of serious assaults in North Belfast.
Shortly after 4am, a 34 year old man was struck on the head with a wooden bat, in a house in the Fairfax Court area.
A 29 year old man was also attacked with a bat shortly after, at a property nearby.
Both men have been taken to hospital for their injuries and are believed to be in serious condition.
Meanwhile, we're told a 65 year old woman was also taken to hospital and is believed to have sustained a suspected broken wrist.
Two women aged 50 and 29 years old and three men aged 42, 24 and 22 years old have been arrested in connection with the incident and are assisting police with their enquiries.
