Former official says NI deserve another chance at World Cup as ref admits mistake

A former referee has told Q Radio, Northern Ireland deserve another chance at aiming for the World Cup.

This morning - the official in the play-off defeat to Switzerland admitted making a mistake.

Ovediu Hategan gave a handball penalty decision against Corry Evans, which saw the Swiss win 1-nil.

Hategan says it was a "sad and unpleasant" moment for him.

Former FIFA referee assessor William Brown has given us his opinion.

This fan told Q Radio News it's a disgrace.
