Ian Paisley has been suspended from the DUP, a party statement said.
It added: "The party takes this report and the matters contained within it very seriously.
"The party officers have decided to suspend Mr Ian Paisley MP from membership of the party pending further investigation into his conduct."
Earlier, MPs voted to suspend the North Antrim representative from the Commons over the Sri Lankan holiday scandal.
They backed the recommendations from the Standards Committee after the North Antrim representative didn't declare two family holidays paid for by the Sri Lankan government.
He then went on to lobby on the country to the Prime Minister.
DUP MLA, Jim Wells has told Q Radio he's "surprised" by his party's decision but says he thinks "it indicates that the party officers have taken it very seriously - the whole issue".
