Further and Higher education colleges and Universities in the North West, both sides of the border, have increased their co-operation in a bid to develop a first class education system across the region.
According to Foyle MP, Elisha McCallion, the initiative will involve the likes of Ulster University (Magee) working closer with North West Regional College, Letterkenny Institute of Technology and other schools.
Ms McCallion has welcomed the increased co-operation and says it will benefit local students across the region, and also help attract students from other areas; which will in turn boost the economy:
