Jim Allister says a proposed 120 bedroom hotel between Portrush and Portstewart is too "brash and in your face".
The North Antrim MLA is among thirty-six objectors to a planned luxury hotel beside the North West 200 Paddock.
Mr Allister owns a holiday home nearby.
