Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in the Belfast area on an outstanding international extradition warrant.
He is being questioned in relation to serious offences, including sexual assault, robbery, and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, in the Republic of Ireland.
Inspector Gareth Thompson said:
“The man was identified as being the subject of an outstanding international extradition warrant in relation to serious offences, including serious sexual assault, robbery, and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, in the Republic of Ireland.

"This demonstrates our continued determination to actively seek out and hold to account people attempting to flee their own country to escape justice being served.”
He is due to appear in court in Belfast today.
