A man arrested in connection with the attempted murder of an off duty police officer in Derry-Londonderry has been released unconditionally.

A viable imrpovised explosive was found under his car in the Ardanlee area in February 2017.

The 49 year-old was arrested in the city yesterday.

A 49-year-old man arrested earlier today by detectives investigating the attempted murder of an off duty police officer in Derry/Londonderry on February 22, 2017 has been released unconditionally.
