A man has been seriously assaulted and a car destroyed in a paramilitary style attack in Larne.
The incident took place in the Argyll View area in the early hours of this morning.
Police received reports of a car on fire at the property and discovered two other vehicles damaged.
Nearby residents were evacuated from the homes.
Police say a number of men carried out the attack and are appealing for information.
Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers is appealling to anyone who may have witnessed
these incidents or have information which could assist with police
enquiries to contact Detectives at Larne Criminal Investigation Branch on the
non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide
information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity
Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
