A 44 year-old man has been shot in the leg in Derry-Londonderry.
It happened in the Madam's Bank Road area of the city around 8 last night.
He was rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Local SDLP councillor Brian Tierney condemned the incident, the fourth such paramilitary attack in less than a fortnight.
“People in our community will be frightened to learn of another shooting taking place on our streets. I condemn this attack.
“Those responsible cannot take the law into their own hands. Anyone with any information must pass it to the PSNI.”
Two weeks ago two women escaped injury when their nearby Racecourse Park home was shot at.
Last Tuesday, a masked gang ransacked a flat in Altcar Park in Shantallow and on Wednesday night a 17-year-boy was shot as he slept in his bed when a masked and armed gang burst into his Bogside home.
