Man suffers "serious" head injuries in Strabane attack

A man has suffered "serious head injuries" following an early morning attack in Strabane.

He was treated in hospital following the assault in the Abercorn Square area of the town.

The incident happened at around 2.25am in the early hours of Sunday 8th January.

The PSNI has appealed to anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number 163 of 8th January 2017.
