A man has been tasered in west Belfast following an assault earlier this morning.
It happened shortly after 11am in the Ballymurphy Road area.
The suspect was arrested and is being quizzed on suspicion of a number of offences including common assault.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers attended the location and one man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of offences, including common assault.
“During this incident, a conducted energy device (CED) was deployed.
“He remains in police custody at this time.
“Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information in relation to it, is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 624 of 06/08/21.”
