Victims of violence here are leading the way in a united effort by bereaved families across Europe to oppose the spread of international terrorism.

The Uniting Innocent Victims Project will be launched this month with events at home and in Brussels.

Fermanagh-based campaigner Kenny Donaldson says terrorism has co-operated across international boundaries with the Provisional IRA heavily involved.

He says it's important for victims and survivors to stand together to face down an all-too-familiar threat ....

Those murdered by the IRA in mainland Europe, including a six-month-old baby, are set to be remembered at a special service in Ballygawley on Sunday. (Ballygawley Presbyterian Church, 3pm).

Victims of Basque terrorist group ETA will also be honoured.
