Newry, Mourne and Down district has seen the largest decrease in unemployment in the province.
The number of locals claiming unemployment benefits fell twenty one point three per cent.
That's compared with this time last year.
Local MLA Danny Kennedy welcomes the news.
He said, "It's very positive that unemployment levels are falling, but I think obviously more can be done and should be done to create jobs and opportunities particularly for young people and those who have been unemployed for a period of time and are still very keen to find work."
