A report by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research agency shows a growth of 6% last year
House prices in Northern Ireland are around £15,000 higher than they were this time last year.
All eleven council areas showed an increase in housing prices, however the numbers fluctuated widely. Currently, the most expensive area to buy a property here is Lisburn and Castlereagh at an average housing price just shy of £150,000. Derry City and Strabane came in as the cheapest are to purchase, with a standard price of £108,464.
The standardised price for a house in Northern Ireland as a whole is £125,480.
