Police are currently examining a suspected firearm which was found in the vicinity of Summerhill Road in Twinbrook earlier today.
Summerhill Road has been closed to traffic.
Tweeting about the incident, local councillor Daniel Baker posted a photo from the scene, encouraging people to avoid the area.
