Police in Derry/Londonderry have seized posters claiming to reveal Soldier F's identity.
The posters were put up in various locations around the city, including Guildhall Square.
They were also widely distributed on social media despite a court order banning the naming of the former soldier who was facing two murder charges in respect of the Bloody Sunday killings of William McKinney and Jim Wray.
He was also expected to be charged with the attempted murder of Joseph Friel, Joe Mahon, Michael Quinn and the late Patrick O'Donnell.
Last month, a court ruled that he should be allowed to retain anonymity.
