Police are investigating after a man in his 30's was attacked by two unknown men in North Belfast.
It's believed to have happened on the Ligoniel Road shortly after 11am on Sunday morning.
The victim suffered a cut to both his head and above his eye following the incident.
It's understood the men made off towards the Crumlin Road area.
Police say enquiries are continuing at this stage but are treating the incident as a racially motivated hate crime.
The suspects are described as being 5'8" in height, shaved heads and wearing dark jackets and jeans.
The PSNI is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or those with information to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 500 3/3/19.
