Police in Ballyarnett have been warning young people of the dangers of throwing "muck bombs" at cars.
Several complaints have been made of groups throwing objects at cars on the Madams Bank Road.
Hundreds of cars travel every day on the stretch, which has a speed limit of 40 miles per hour.
Officers say a fourteen year old boy was taken home after being spotted throwing things at cars last night.
A PSNI spokesperson said:
"We know this is just young people messing about but we don’t want to see car accidents and people hurt.
"Just as important we don’t want to see youngsters being brought into the Youth Justice system when they think they are just having a bit of harmless fun.
"So if parents could have a wee word with their kids about not throwing or launching things at moving vehicles."
