There’ve been reports of drivers being approached in car parks in Dungannon.
The people making the approach are asking for a lift urgently or the use of a phone.
Police say this degree of pressure and persistence has left people frightened and feeling intimidated.
There have also been reports of people checking the same car parks for unlocked vehicles. Police are asking people to be vigilant and to report suspicious behaviour to police.
