The Stormont Assembly is to be recalled from the Easter recess tomorrow to debate a motion criticising Sinn Féin ministers over their attendance at Bobby Storey's funeral.
The senior republican died in June, and his funeral sparked a political fallout when hundreds of people poured on to the streets of west Belfast - despite strict regulations over public gatherings.
It was revealed yesterday, no action is being taken because of confusion over the coronavirus regulations and organisers’ prior engagement with police which may have given mourners a reasonable excuse.
24 elected Sinn Fein representatives - including deputy first minister Michelle O’Neill - were among those who went.
Now, an SDLP petition has secured the necessary support from other parties to trigger the recall of the assembly, to discuss the PPS's decision.
