A prisoner charged with murder who went on the run after being released accidentally has been rearrested.
Michael Smith, 38, of Ardmonagh Gardens, Belfast, was on remand in the high-security Maghaberry Prison when he was released mistakenly a month ago.
He was arrested in the Carryduff area of Co Down on Wednesday.
Smith is charged with the murder of Belfast man Stephen Carson, who was shot dead in his home in front of his nine-year-old son and partner in February 2016.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland tweeted: "PSNI have arrested missing prisoner Michael Smith in the Carryduff area. We would like to thank the public for their help in this."
