Two men have been arrested after counterfeit money was seized in Strabane.
The fake ten pound note was passed to a business in the town earlier in the week.
However, staff were suspicious of the quality of the cash and used an ultra violet pen to confirm it wasn't real tender.
A PSNI spokesperson said:
"Please do not let your business fall victim to this over the Christmas period.
"Staff will be busy but encourage them to take their time when handling notes and if in doubt get it checked out.
"Use a UV pen and more importantly, feel the note, 9/10 it is the feel and the smell of a note that gives it away as being counterfeit."
