Detectives from PSNI Organised Crime Unit have arrested a man and a woman, aged 59, on suspicion of firearms and explosives offences.
It follows a search of a property in the Havana Gardens area of North Belfast today.
The two people are currently in police custody assisting with enquiries.
Detectives also seized a number of items which have been taken away for examination.
Police say there are no further details at this time.
