A Belfast MLA says there is an underlying injustice below the fun and colour at Pride.
The annual march is expected to draw tens of thousands of people to the city centre this afternoon.
They will reiterate calls for the introduction of same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland, the only part of the UK and Ireland where it's not legal.
Gerry Carroll's told Q Radio it'll be a great atmosphere, but there's a much deeper message.
Saying, "there's an element of pride being fun and celebratory for people to have a good time. But also I think it's important for people to come out to recognise the fact that rights for LGBT people are still are marginalised and oppressed and discriminated against".
