The winner of the Samsung tablet which was up for grabs in the council’s Bin-ovation competition, was Kay McPeake from Magherafelt.
She was selected from the hundreds of entrants to the competition.
Entrants had to download the Bin-ovation app to be in with a chance of winning the prize.
The app helps you stay up to date with bin collection days and learn how to recycle more effectively.
It provides information on how to treat thousands of items of household waste, including detailed information of what to dispose and where, as well as a handy bin collection day reminder service.
There is no limit to the number of devices the app can be downloaded to.
Kay said she was delighted:
“In a busy house like mine with children of primary school age, the tablet will certainly be utilised for fun and education,” she added.
The Bin-Ovation App for Mid Ulster is free to download for all Apple and Android platforms from the App Store or Play Store.
