A woman has died following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Ballynahinch.
It happened on the Newcastle Road on Tuesday afternoon.
As of Tuesday evening, the road remained closed.
Local councillor Alan Lewis says he is devastated for the victim's family.
He said: "This marks another death on our roads and my thoughts and prayers are certainly with the family at this very difficult time."
