Holders Linfield have crashed out of the Toals County Antrim Shield.

The Blues were beaten 1-0 by Ards in their quarter-final at Windsor Park last night - David McAllister scoring for the visitors just after half-time.

In the other last eight tie, Crusaders staged a dramatic late comeback to beat derby rivals Cliftonville 3-2 at Solitude.

Trailing 2-1, sub Paul Heatley grabbed a glorious double in the last five minutes to give the Crues victory.

The win came at a price for Stephen Baxter's men.

Philip Lowry sustained a broken arm and Michael Carvill picked up a groin injury.

Here's match-winner Heatley.

Ards and Crusaders join Ballymena and Carrick in Saturday's semi-final draw.

Attention turns to the Danske Bank Premiership on Tuesday night.

Unbeaten leaders Coleraine can go eight points clear with a home win against the bottom team, Ballinamallard.

However, Stripes boss Oran Kearney is wary of the Ducks after they frustrated Crusaders at Seaview on Friday night before eventually losing 2-0.

A few days earlier, the Crues had hammered Linfield 5-2 at Windsor.

After the opening 12 games, the Mallards are 30 points behind the Bannsiders, but manager Gavin Dykes says he's looking forward to his trip to the Showgrounds.
