Sion Swifts have moved up to fourth in the Danske Women's Premiership by beating local rivals Derry City 2-1.

Meanwhile, champions and league leaders Glentoran have signed Northern Ireland midfielder Chloe McCarron.

The former Linfield star left Birmingham City to return home in April.

The Glens men's team are in European action on Thursday evening along with Larne and Coleraine.

All three have a realistic chance of progressing in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.

Glentoran are away to Welsh league side The New Saints at 6.15pm.

The first round, first leg tie at The Oval last Thursday ended 1-1.

Larne take a 1-0 lead into their return leg with Bala Town as Inver Park hosts its first European tie (7pm).

The Bannsiders have Bosnians Velez Mostar at 8pm, hoping to overturn a 2-1 defeat in Sarajevo.

The game's at Mourneview Park in Lurgan as a new pitch is being installed at the Showgrounds.
