Shoot-out drama as Blues and Crues crash out while two teams from East make semis

Holders Crusaders have crashed out of the Toals County Antrim Shield.

They lost 3-2 on penalties in last night's quarter-final away to Ballymena.

It had finished 1-1 after normal and extra-time. 

Meanwhile, Cllftonville beat Linfield 4-3 in another penalty shoot-out at Windsor Park.

Linfield had fought back from 2-0 down to force extra-time in a 2-2 draw.

Darren Murray scored in extra-time to give Glentoran a 3-2 victory over Larne at the Oval.

And a late Scott Davidson goal saw Harland and Wolff beat fellow Championship side Ards 1-0 in Bangor.

The semi-final draw is on Saturday week with the games to be played on Wednesday 20 November. 

 

 

Action resumes on Friday night, with Glentoran and Larne again going head-to-head, this time in the league.
