Police have launched a murder investigation after a boy who was stabbed in northwest London on Saturday died in hospital.

Officers were called to reports of a stabbing just after 10.30pm in Dudden Hill Lane, Dollis Hill, on 30 May.

Jamal Ringrose, 15, was treated at the scene for stab wounds before being taken to hospital, where he died on Thursday.

Detectives have subsequently launched a murder probe and said Jamal's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, was arrested on Tuesday.

He has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Thursday, police said.

A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault and causing grievous bodily harm.

The boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray, and remains in police custody, while the man has since been released on bail.

Detective Inspector Simon Ager, who is leading the investigation, said the thoughts of the force are with the family and loved ones of Jamal.

He added that: "Our work continues and my team are pursuing several lines of inquiry."

"We believe many people were in the area at the time and ask anyone with information or footage to come forward.

"In particular, we're seeking dashcam or mobile phone recordings from the street at that time.

"No detail is too small or insignificant. Please get in touch. Any footage can be uploaded here."
