Bangalore is one of the fastest growing major metropolis in India. The city enjoys a rich cultural heritage with a thriving theatre and arts scene. Bangalore Palace built in 1887 by the "Wodeyar Dynasty" is one of the most popular landmarks in the city. Inspired by England's Windsor Castle this evocative palace has Tudor-style architecture, with fortified towers, arches and green lawns. The interior with the royal family still living there showcases over 30,000 paintings and exquisite woodcarvings.

The KR market area is home to a charming summer palace and fort from the Tipu Sultan era.  Cubbon Park right in the heart of the city is a nature island carefully preserved since the rule of the British Raj. The grounds are known for their statues and beautiful bamboo garden and perfect for escaping the concrete jungle that surrounds it. Next door you will find Vidana Soudha one of Bangalore's landmarks. This enormous building is a clear example of neo-Dravidian architecture with four domes on all four corners housing the Karnataka Government. If you’re looking for street shopping, MG Road, Brigade Road and Commercial Street are places to explore. From bags, footwear, antiques, second hand books to artificial jewellery, you will find practically everything under the sun.
