One of Newry's most deprived areas is to get over a million pounds.
The cash from the housing executive is the biggest single investment for ten years in the Newry area.
Work in Carnagat's Ardcarne Park will take around four weeks.
It will include improvements to pedestrian access and selected properties.
Street lighting, road layouts and new roads will also be improved with the £1.2 million allocated.
