A householder has been forced to flee to safety during an aggravated burglary in Broughshane.
A number of men sledgehammered their way into his flat on Main Street shortly before 12.30 on St, Patrick's Day morning.
The occupant escaped unharmed through the rear door and raised the alarm.
The men ransacked a number of rooms in the flat before making off.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area of Main Street in Broughshane on the night of Thursday 16 March /Friday
17 or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Ballymena on 101 quoting reference number '14 of
17/03/17'.
