A car and van have been destroyed in an arson attack in Bangor last night.
It was reported that a grey BMW and a white Ford Transit van parked in the Ballynoe Gardens area had been set alight, at around 12.10am.
Police and NIFRS attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.
The PSNI says both of the vehicles appeared to have their front windshields smashed and the fire started in the driver's compartments, destroying the two vehicles.
Sergeant Shankey said, “Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Newtownards on 101 quoting reference 10 of 06/08/19.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
