Co. Tyrone GAA clubs suspend activity after player tests positive

Eglish GAA club has suspended all of its activity after one of its senior players tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Aghaloo GAA club has also suspended their activity after they met Eglish in a fixture at the weekend.

In a statement Eglish said, "The club has at all times since resuming activities adhered to GAA and Public Health guidelines and regards the health and well being of our members and community paramount in everything we do."

Last weekend saw the return of GAA with the matches being the first to have taken place since March.

However, all games are currently behind closed doors in Northern Ireland.

On Saturday, up to 10 different GAA clubs in the Derry/Londonderry area stopped all their activity after the Public Health Agency confirmed they were investigated a COVID-19 cluster in the Limavady area linked to a social gathering.

However, one club in the area has confirmed they will be resuming training this week.

The club Covid committee have agreed that the adult Footballers and Camogs can resume training on Thursday 23rd while our underage teams will restart on Monday the 27th, in line with St Colms Drum.

This timetable is dependent on the local situation staying as it is.
