Local man convicted at Coleraine Magistrates court over wrongfully obtained benfits
A Coleraine man was recently convicted for claiming benefits he was not entitled to. 66 year-old William Stewart of Ballindreen Road, Coleraine claimed Pension Credit of £14,499, while failing to declare capital
He was given a three month prison sentence suspended for two years. Mr Stewart has repaid the wrongfully obtained money in full to the Department for Communities.
