Mid & East Antrim Councillors who wish to attend a Battle of the Somme commemoration tour will now have to pay their own way.
In a change of practice, councillors voted 16 to 9 at August's full council meeting not to charge the ratepayer. Six councillors abstained.
Next month's Somme Association tour will cost participating councillors £620 per head, plus VAT.
Visits will include the 16th Irish Division Memorial and Lone Tree Cemetery.
