Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid perform at Derry wedding

Ed Sheeran caused a stir when he paid a visit to Derry - Londonderry over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Grammy award winner was in the city to celebrate a wedding at the Beech Hill Country House Hotel.

Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid was spotted in the city on Saturday alongside his long-term partner, actress Courtney Cox.

Despite rumours that the pair had flown in for their own wedding, it was actually his younger sister Brid who was tying the knot.

The 40 year old musician was joined on stage by pal Sheeran at the wedding reception on Friday night to the delight of the guests.
